Cooking Making with Payton and Madison

Madison spent the night with us so I decided to do cut out cookies with her and Payton. There are many things I enjoy doing... but baking is definitely not one of them. I do not like it and I am not good at it! I like cooking from boxes and from tubes! This will be something I do once or maybe twice a year for the sake of the children because I know they love it. Payton and Madison had a great time and did a really good job decorating... I just really hope they got it out of their systems for a while;).Payton's cookies

Hold my hand Brother!

Today in the car Payton was insisting that Britton old her hand. At first Britton liked the attention but after a while he got sick of it and tried to pull his hand away and Payton got so mad at him and made him hold her hand again. Now that Britton sits forward they have lots of fun making each other laugh by being silly. Payton can do just about anything and Britton will burst out in laughter.

Thanksgiving 2010

This Thanksgiving I have so much to be thankful for. Most importantly I am thankful for my children, husband, family, friends, my church and so so much more! For Thanksgiving we went to Linda and Ricks for a huge delicious feast! After eating we went back to our house for a nice nap and packed up and headed out to my mom and Ron's house to spend time with family. We had a great day! I love Thanksgiving and all of the time we get to spend with family!

Payton came dressed as an Indian for Thanksgiving.

Britton very excited about his meal.

I guess Britton did not feel like he got enough to eat because he was trying to eat Jackson's food!

It is so hard to get a family photo!

Jungle Zone With Grandma Good Girl

Such a fun Grandma!

Linda wanted to take all of the kids to Jungle Zone today. This was the first time for Payton and I so I did not know what to expect so I left Britton with Jonathon since he was home from work and was so mad that I did because it was set up perfect for little Britters. Payton still had a great time playing and it was fun to get one on one time with her.

Gingerbread House Making

This year we decided to make our traditional gingerbread houses with no kids which was a pretty great idea! Katelyn, Linda, Rhea, Natalie and I had so much fun laughing and getting crafty with our houses. I was pretty proud of my house this year because in the previous years I have had to blame my wreck of a house on either Payton or Jonathon;). When Payton woke up the next morning I showed her the gingerbread house and she asked me if Ginger lived in it... I of course told her yes. I asked her if she wanted to give her house to Ms. Sandy or Ms. Bonnie (her teachers) and she said that she wanted to give her house to Payton. I guess she was proud of me too;). We decided to give it away on the last day of her preschool to Ms. Bonnie.

Acorn Hunters

Payton has had an obsession with acorns for the last few months. Anytime we go walking she has to have a couple in her hands and we often go exploring to find acorns. Well… today we went to the park to meet up with Katelyn and Rhea and the kids and there were acorns everywhere! I guess Payton found a very special baby acorn that she went under a wall that she could not get and she thought Jayden was taking it from her… well let’s just say things got pretty ugly and she through a tantrum. Jayden walked around and gave Payton her acorn and started going around the park finding more to stuff in her pockets. They were stuff Payton’s pockets as full to the point that when she would walk around it was raining acorns. It absolutely melted my heart to see how sweet, thoughtful and caring Jayden was towards Payton. He did not try to put any in his pocket and was only concerned that Payton had plenty. Jayden is such a sweetie and so much fun. We love you Parker!

My Polite Little Boy!

This morning I was up early with Britton while Payton was sleeping and got the biggest kick out of Britton because he would run into the kitchen where I had the cookies and I would give him one and then he would take off running and come back when he was finished. I thought it was so funny so I told Jonathon to come watch him. When Jonathon was watching, Britton sounded like he was saying thank you when I handed him a cookie. I thought I had heard him say that in the past but never thought it could be that. Jonathon and I both looked at each other and were wondering if he was indeed trying to say thank you so I gave him another cookie and he said thank you again. He must have learned this from me always getting onto Payton about saying Please and Thank you... she is still working on it:). I got my camera out to catch him saying it on film. Britton's first word was touch down around 11mouths. and I will have to get that on film as well because he puts his hands up and says tou dow... which will make a great story in the future if he is ever a star football player.

My children through the eyes of my babysitter

My babysitter, Brianna, did her YW in Excellence display on babysitting and Linda brought me home two sheets of paper that Brianna had did descripbing my children and I thought it was so sweet and true! It was neat to see it through her eyes. I sometimes have a hard time leaving them and often wonder what they are doing and it seems to me like they do the same stuff with Brianna as they would be doing with me.

Through Brianna’s eyes…

Britton is 1 and gets into everything. Every door in the house has to be shut especially the bathrooms. He likes to play in the toilets. He can walk and he can walk fast. He has a lot of accidents, and falls a lot, but most of the time he gets right back up and goes back to doing whatever he was doing. Knowing that he has accidents, I have to keep a close eye on him. If he hurts himself I get an icepack and put it on him immediately and get him his juice. This helps him not to bruise, and the juice calms him down. He also loves to dance and likes to do whatever his big sister is doing. He likes to go on wagon rides, and golf cart rides. He especially likes it since he is the one who sits on my lap and gets to touch the steering wheel! He loves to be tickled and is always smiling. He pretty much just goes with the flow!

Payton is very smart. She has a good memory and knows what you’re saying when you’re talking to her. She loves to go exploring and she loves her family. She loves to do crafts and play games outside, she especially likes play-dough. She has a younger brother Britton who is 1, so when he’s taking a nap we do the fun stuff that we can’t do when he’s awake. She loves that one-on-one attention. Payton loves to dance to Taylor Swift and even though she’s only three she knows most of the words to “Love Story” and “You Belong to Me”. She’s a good helper and always helps me pick up her toys. Payton loves apples dipped in peanut butter with sprinkles on them. They are a healthy treat and she likes putting on the pink sprinkles. She loves taking care of her baby dolls. She’s going to be a great mom someday too.

Brianna, I want to wish you a HAPPY HAPPY 14th Birthday! You are a very special person and I feel so lucky to have you as my babysitter. Enjoy your Birthday/Thanksgiving Day! Love, Missy, Payton and Britton

Lunch date with Daddy

Today we packed a picnic and picked up Jonathon for a lunch date at the park in Downtown Mt. Dora. It is always a treat to spend midday with my love.
