Volunteering in Britton's Class

Today I got to volunteer in Britton's class. It's all boys and such a nice set up. He has had a hard time with it so it was nice for me to be with him today. His teacher, Ms. Sonya, is so awesome and patient with the little ones.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of Britton and Payton's mom's day out school in Mt. Dora. I was counting the days down until last week when we went to the Parent's meeting and I had to leave Britton with the volunteers and he had such a hard time. I felt so bad for him and had a hard time thinking about leaving him for three hours. I decided that on the first day I would stay with him for a little while to help him get more comfortable with it and after about 45 minutes I decided to leave and he cried so hard. His teacher said that he did fine after about 10 minutes and would look at the door every now and then and ask for mama.
Payton on the other hand did excellent. It helped having her cousin Jayden in her class and also her Aunt Rhea for the first day as a volunteer. I am really excited about having this school to take them to so I can get my work done because it is less than a minute away from Rick and Geoffrey's office.
I asked Payton to cross her legs and Britton thought I was telling them to cross their arms for prayer.

Big girl off to class!

My new walking buddy

This evening I took the kids on a walk that ended up being a 45 minute walk, which Britton walked about 30 minutes all by himself with no constraints! I had so much fun walking and having both of them stay so close to me. I usually let Payton walk by me but tonight was the first time that Britton made it past 10 minutes with out having to go back into the stroller. And the only reason he rode 15 minutes of the time was because he was getting tired towards the end. I love Mondays because our golf course is usually closed so we are free to roam and explore!

Bird Feeders- FHE

Rhea gave us this great idea to make bird feeders out of pine cones, so earlier in the day we went to the park and collected pine cones and then off to Target for bird food. It made the perfect family home evening activity! The kids thought it was so much fun getting sticky and messy with the peanut butter and bird food. Britton went crazy with it and rubbed peanut butter all over Cali.

Payton's new favorite place

Payton had a blasted getting into Summer's dogs cage. Percey sat right next to Payton and enjoyed the attention. This might be a good idea to keep her sleeping in her own bed;).
