Playing with Gavin and Grace

Ashlea and Randy did some packing and cleaning up there old house so we got to have Gavin and Grace come play with us. We had a great time. We created our own Monkey Joes, played hard and went on a golf cart ride through the jungle... Grace thought it was so much fun.

Monkey Joes has nothing on me!

The explorers buckled in ready to go exploring!

The girls playing with baby dolls and doggies while...

... the boys wrestled!

It was so funny watching Gavin and Britton roll around together.

Payton Passed Out

Payton usually expects Jonathon or I to lay with her until she fells asleep. Tonight Jonathon and I could not decide who would be the lucky one so Payton got tired of waiting on us and passed out on the chair.

Gaylord Chiropractic Convention

Today Britton and I went with Jonathon to the Gaylord Chiorpractic Convention. It was really fun and neat to see all of the stuff that Jonathon's always talking about. After walking around we went to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner with Jonathon's friends Bernie and Nathanal and it was good. I even got to wear a bib! Thank goodness for the bib because it got pretty messy!

The soon to be newly weds!

Britton is 10 months old

My big boy Britton is 10 months old. This boy is such a joy in our house... even to Payton sometimes. He wakes up every morning with the biggest smiles on his face. He waits patiently for Jonathon or I to get him and who ever it is he rewards them with the warmest most sweet smiles. Britton is a very healthy eater and when he sees someone else eating he will go up to them and start moving his mouth. Britton is a very busy little boy and gets into everything... especially sissy's stuff and toilets at any chance he gets. He waves and claps and is a great babbler;). He can say mama and dada and roar roar roar. I love my boy so much!

A day to ourself

Today I took Payton and Britton to the library and it was so quite and it was very obvious that school was back in session. For a little while we were the only ones in the kiddie area. Payton had a great time working on her puzzles. She would get one at a time, dump the puzzle pieces on the table and say "let's see, ummmm, let's see". Payton also had time reading books. Britton had a great time running all over the place pulling things off the selves.

After the library we went to McDonald's (I love using the kids as an excuse to get a kids cheeseburger meal) and went to downtown Mt. Dora. Again it was dead there. Pretty much just us and some very hungry birds. Payton is so much fun to hang out with. She kept asking for more bird and telling me that the birdies are so hungry. She would tell the birds come here bubbie and come here sweetie. Britton also had fun watching the birds.

Brother and Sister Play Time

Tonight Jonathon and I took Payton to the mall to go shoe shopping for Payton and let the kids play. Stride Rite was having a good sale so we lucked out. after shopping we went to the play area and Payton was totally into Britton and wanted to actually play with him. She would pull him up by his are and took him all over the place. I took some videos with Jonathon's phone.

Payton's new favorite bathing spot

I usually bathe Britton in the kitchen sink and today Payton told me that it was her turn to take a bath in the sink. It was a great idea and she loved it.

Short but Sweet Beach Trip

Jonathon called me today to see if I wanted to go to the beach after he got done with work at noon, so I packed the car up and got the kids ready and we headed to New Smyrna Beach. It was raining on the way there and when we got there the sky was looking pretty nasty, but we decided to go ahead and take our chances and I was so glad we did because it was probably one of my best beach trips and it lasted only about an hour. We walked the board walk and half way through we got the kids out of the strollers and went on the beach for about 30 minutes. Payton and I hunted for shells while Jonathon and Britton chased the birds. It was such a great time but we decided not to stay long because the sky was getting darker and darker and it started to sprinkle. There was a minute when Jonathon and Britton where walking towards us and i just thought that times like this make every challenge in life worth it to have special little memories with my family.

After going to the beach we went to see Christy and Cameron and Madison. Cameryn was with her dad. We also got to see Charley and confirmed to me that I made the right chose after he bite Britton's finger pretty bad. Such a cute and fun dog but not so go with babies.

We can't wait until it gets cold so we can wear jackets and go walking and playing again.

Ashlea's Farewell Dinner

All of the girls from the Eustis Ward got together for dinner at Chilli's to give Ashlea a farewell. The White have moved to Ovideo... and although I am so happy for them... I am so sad that they have left!!!!!!! I have fallen in love with there family. Ashlea is such a great friend and someone I look up to as a mother, a member of my church and as an overall person. I also had a hard time with losing my little Sunbeam Grace. She was such a joy to have in class and was always so well behaved for me. I am so thankful that they only live 40 minutes away!

My mom, Payton and I went to Madison's 4th birthday party to celebrate with the princess. My sister had a really cute party and had all the girls come in there princess attire. They all had a great time and Madison loved being the birthday girl. Payton came as tinker bell and enjoyed being around her big cousins and all of their friends. Happy Birthday Madison! We love you princess!

Peter Pan and Tinkerbell

Christy is doing a princess birthday party for Madison's 5th birthday and wanted to girls to come dressed in their princess attire. I went to Ashlea to borrow a dress for Payton and let me also use Gavin's little Peter Pan costume for Britton. He looked so cute in the costume and Payton felt like a little princess in her pretty Tinkerbell costume. Payton wanted to sleep with her costume on and even the shoes so I let her until she decided that it was not as comfortable as she thought. Britton did not end up going to the party but Payton did with her Tinkerbell costume and had a blast.

A Very Special 10 Minutes

This is a very rare caption of Britton letting me snuggle him. Earlier today at church, after I got done teaching, I came out to the front room to find Britton a sleep in Jonathon's arms which never happens because Britton will usually only fall a sleep if he has his own space. Jonathon said that Britton was letting Jonathon snuggle him all through church and actually fell asleep in his arms. So later that night after I had got done walking with Linda I held Britton and he started to rest his head on my chest. I know if does not sound like a huge deal but Britton never lets us snuggle him and there have been nights were I would get him out of his bed just to get some snuggles out of him. Britton loves to be held and played with but usually does not snuggle. This is so opposite from Payton who I swear would still be in love with a baby Bjorn or sling if they made them in her size. Every night before she goes to bed she has be snuggled and gets kind of mean about it and will forcefully say Hold me! or Snuggle me! Jonathon calls her my little girlfriend because she is so demanding of my affection. I love it though and cherish every bit of love I get out of these children because I know that the day will come all too soon when they will be to big to be snuggling with me and this makes me so sad thinking of it! I can't think of a greater gift than the love my children show me... I feel so blessed.

BBQ

Linda, Rick and Natalie were out of town this past week and told us to use there house so we decided to have a BBQ. We all brought stuff and put it together for a huge fest. All the kids got to go swimming because Kate and Rhea were brave enough to wear their bathing suits. It was good to spend time with great friends.

Look at Jayden swimming... he is a little fish!

Britton enjoying some fruit that Summer was feeding him.

Playing on the slide

Linda got this really cool water slide for the kids and it has been a huge hit! Payton and Madison have had a blast playing on it. I love it to because it feels like we have our own private little Monkey Joes right down the street.
