Thanksgiving 2008
We had another wonderful Thanksgiving this year. I love thanksgiving because it is a time to spend with family and have the opportunity to think of all the many things we have in our lives to be grateful for. Our Thanksgiving started out at Linda and Rick’s house for a delicious feast. After dinner we did ginger bread houses and went on the golf cart ride to see three black bears that were sitting in a tree on Rick and Linda’s golf course. After being stuffed we got in the car and drove to my mom and Ron’s house for more tasty food. We stayed the rest of the day out there and had a great time playing a game called corn holes and talking by the fire.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town...
For FHE we went to the Mall to get Payton and Britton's photos taken with Santa. Britton did really good for his photos but Payton was not into Santa and was very hard to distract this year so I only got one photo with them both together. Payton had more fun with all of the decorations as you walked up to Santa. Payton was amazed by all of the lights and decorations.

Bless you!
Today Payton and the nursery got to sing I Am A Child Of God during the Primary program. Payton did not sing but was so cute up on the stage. Before the Primary program got started Payton was sitting with Linda and during sacrament someone started to cough and Payton went nuts with the BLESS YOU! BLESS YOU! BLESS YOU! It was so hard for me to not laugh. If someone is coughing or sneezes Payton will tell them bless you until they acknowledge her and say thank you. She is such a polite little girl;).

The beach in the cold
Even though it was very cold outside, Jonathon, Payton, Britton and I decided to go spend a few days at Cocoa Beach. We did not do any swimming but had a lot of fun going down to the beach for picnics and playing in the sand. Britton loved it because I held him a lot in a front baby carrier, which he loves and sleeps so well it. Britton's first time at the beach.

Mandy and Ben's Couple Shower
I got to go on a date with my two boys tonight to Mandy and Ben's couple shower at Rhea and Geoffrey's house. Rhea did such a nice job with the party with really cute decorations and excellent food! We got to see some of our friends from high school which is always fun and very funny. Britton slept the whole time while everyone loved on him. Brianna watched Payton and Payton had a great time with her. When Brianna got to our house Payton went to her and was not even a little sad for us to leave. Brianna does such a great job baby sitting and I am so lucky to have her help. Congratulations Mandy and Ben! You two make such a great couple!
Colors and Shapes
Payton can say her colors and shapes now. She is so smart and picks up on things very well. It is so cute when she says her colors. A great tool we used for teaching Payton her colors was using colored candy. Jonathon would show her a skittle and if she got the color right she got to eat it but if she got it wrong Jonathon would eat it... tough love! ;). 26M

Payton's First Build-a-Bear
Tonight we went to the Florida Mall for a little shopping and to let Payton play in the kiddie area. I took the kids up to Macys (Britton in a front carrier and Payton in her stroller) to look around the kids section. Payton was not too happy about being in the stroller so I distracted her with a little black dog that was for sale. After Jonathon rescued me and took Payton he did not realize that she still had the dog so they left the store with it and when they had to return it Payton went nuts. Jonathon had noticed, while playing in the kiddie area, Payton admiring two older girls who had Build-a-Bears and he insisted that we take her to get one. I thought it wasn't that great of an idea because I thought Payton would be to young to understand or care about building a bear but I sure was wrong. We went in there and she picked out a dog. Payton was into the whole process and at the end told the lady thank you without any coaching and then continued the whole night to tell Jonathon, "thank you daddy". It was so cute and such a sweet memory. I love seeing Jonathon and Payton interact and can already see who Payton will go to when she gets older and wants something. Payton picking out a heart for her doggie.
