25 Years Young

This year for my birthday we started off by having a girls day with the kids at the Gaylord Palms pool. Ashlea brought a delicious giant cook cake... one of my favorites! We packed up just in time for a huge storm and then I met up with Jonathon and we went to the Florida Mall. We met up with my mom, Christy, Cameron, Linda, Rick, Natalie, Ashlea, Randy, Rhea, Geoffrey, Payton and Britton for dinner at Buca. After dinner Jonathon, Payton, Britton and I went and stayed the night at the Florida Mall hotel and had my family's traditional oreo cake...yummy! It was such a great birthday! Thanks everyone!

The after party... getting crazy after all of that oreo cake!

Payton's Top Ten Weird Toy List

I have said it before many times and will say it again... my daughter is no ordinary girl! This morning when we woke up the first thing she asked for was her TV (this is what she calls her DVD covers to Clifford and Dora that her Grandma Good Girl bought for her). This got me thinking of all of the weird toys that Payton has fallen in love with over that past few years. I guess I would say that all of the weirdness started when she was around 7 months and had an obsession with phone chargers, ropes and dog toys. Most kids use blankets or teddy bears for comfort toys but here are some that Payton has used...

  1. Phone Cords- It was hard to drive down the road or take her on a stroller ride if she did not have a phone charger cord.

  2. Ropes- One time Jonathon and I bought a long ski rope for Cali so we could take her down to the doggie beach and Payton insisted on holding the rope so we cut her a piece off and she was in love.

  3. Dog toys- one day I was at Walmart in the check out line and Payton was fussing so I handed her a dog toy that they had right there were you check out. This toy had two tennis balls and a rope connecting them together and she loved it! I would go to church and pack snacks and her dog toys.

  4. Birthday Candles- Payton got to take the candles off of Jonathon's birthday cake and carried them around for a few days. When she fell asleep we would have to collect them out of her hands.

  5. Flash cards that had pictures of crayons- Payton loves her colors (crayons, makers) and especially pink and purple colors. I got her some flash cards that had pictures of crayons on them and one of them had the a pink crayon so she carried these around for a few days.

  6. TV (DVD covers)- Payton is in love with Clifford the big red dog and Dora the Explore so Grandma Good Girl let her go pick out a few movies and this is what she choose. She has carried the two movies around and treated them like babies. She has been putting them in the stroller and her baby car set.

  7. Deflated horse balloon- Rhea gave Payton a large deflated horse balloon and this was better than any real horse out there. She road it all night at Jayden's 2nd birthday party and all around the house for two days until her daddy decided to throw it away and she found it in the garbage can. She would sleep with the horse right next to her and we would have to sneak it away when she feel asleep.

  8. Building block with a picture of a dog- Payton was playing with her blocks and discovered a dog on one of them and wanted to put it on a leash. She carried it around for a few days and treated it like a real dog.

  9. Big girl panties. Payton would go through the laundry and find all of her panties and carry them all over the place. I would find them stuffed in random places. When we go to Wal-mart and I want to do soomething extra special for her I would let her pick out a pack of panties and she would be in heaven.

  10. Pacifiers. This has probably been the most favorite toy of Payton and the one that she has enjoyed the most for the longest time. Payton has always been a little paci face and I am hoping to break this habit soon. I always remember people saying that pacifiers were a pain because if you could not find one than it was tough because of the sceaming child. Well I had to keep up with at least two because she use to sleep with mulitpe pacies (one in her mouth and as many as she could get in her hands). It was almsot like she wanted a back up incase she lost the one in her mouth.

Splish Splash we were having a blast!

I discovered a new great park in Sanford. It is called Ft. Mellon and it has a really nice playground and splash park. We took the kids there for a picnic and play. Britton had a blast playing in the water. He would look for the water and than it would spray him in the face and he thought it was so funny! We went back later that night with Jonathon to walk along the water and eat pizza. I think this is my new favorite place.

Chef Britton

Cameryn decided to dress Britton up as Chef Britton. He loves to play on the kitchen...I need to get him a tool set and a tool belt ;). The girls thought it was too funny to take off so he got to play in the sand with his outfit on.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we went up to the Grand Cypress and had such a great time! The pool is so much fun and they have activities all over the resort to do. We rode the giant bike and trust me it is not as fun as it looks... well maybe for me because I was sitting in the middle doing nothing. We went on a bike ride with single bikes that had kiddie things on the back and that was so much fun. After we were done playing in the pool we got ready and tried to go to downtown Disney but they had a big sign that said no fire works so we turned around and went to downtown Sanford and watched a nice firework display. It was such a great family day!

Jayden's 2nd birthday

This year for Jayden's birthday Rhea and Geoffrey gave Jayden a horse party and it was so much fun. They had a real pony come and gave the kids rides. Payton thought the whole horse theme was great and we discovered that she was quite the horse girl. Rhea gave her a deflated horse balloon and she rode it all over the party. I think she enjoyed that more than the real pony. She rode the horse so much that she rubbed the paint off of that balloon and her whole body was covered in a silver shimmer.Come on Grandma! Payton's turn!Payton and PaPa petting the horseThe birthday boy getting ready to ride the horse. Britton having a little party of his own with the slip and slide.

Jello Jumpin

Today Jayden came over to play with Britton and Payton so of course we had to get messey again. I made Payton jello the day before and did not have a chance to get to it that night so we saved it for Jayden so he could jello jump with us. Payton eating the jello... gross!
