Payton's Top Ten Weird Toy List

I have said it before many times and will say it again... my daughter is no ordinary girl! This morning when we woke up the first thing she asked for was her TV (this is what she calls her DVD covers to Clifford and Dora that her Grandma Good Girl bought for her). This got me thinking of all of the weird toys that Payton has fallen in love with over that past few years. I guess I would say that all of the weirdness started when she was around 7 months and had an obsession with phone chargers, ropes and dog toys. Most kids use blankets or teddy bears for comfort toys but here are some that Payton has used...

  1. Phone Cords- It was hard to drive down the road or take her on a stroller ride if she did not have a phone charger cord.

  2. Ropes- One time Jonathon and I bought a long ski rope for Cali so we could take her down to the doggie beach and Payton insisted on holding the rope so we cut her a piece off and she was in love.

  3. Dog toys- one day I was at Walmart in the check out line and Payton was fussing so I handed her a dog toy that they had right there were you check out. This toy had two tennis balls and a rope connecting them together and she loved it! I would go to church and pack snacks and her dog toys.

  4. Birthday Candles- Payton got to take the candles off of Jonathon's birthday cake and carried them around for a few days. When she fell asleep we would have to collect them out of her hands.

  5. Flash cards that had pictures of crayons- Payton loves her colors (crayons, makers) and especially pink and purple colors. I got her some flash cards that had pictures of crayons on them and one of them had the a pink crayon so she carried these around for a few days.

  6. TV (DVD covers)- Payton is in love with Clifford the big red dog and Dora the Explore so Grandma Good Girl let her go pick out a few movies and this is what she choose. She has carried the two movies around and treated them like babies. She has been putting them in the stroller and her baby car set.

  7. Deflated horse balloon- Rhea gave Payton a large deflated horse balloon and this was better than any real horse out there. She road it all night at Jayden's 2nd birthday party and all around the house for two days until her daddy decided to throw it away and she found it in the garbage can. She would sleep with the horse right next to her and we would have to sneak it away when she feel asleep.

  8. Building block with a picture of a dog- Payton was playing with her blocks and discovered a dog on one of them and wanted to put it on a leash. She carried it around for a few days and treated it like a real dog.

  9. Big girl panties. Payton would go through the laundry and find all of her panties and carry them all over the place. I would find them stuffed in random places. When we go to Wal-mart and I want to do soomething extra special for her I would let her pick out a pack of panties and she would be in heaven.

  10. Pacifiers. This has probably been the most favorite toy of Payton and the one that she has enjoyed the most for the longest time. Payton has always been a little paci face and I am hoping to break this habit soon. I always remember people saying that pacifiers were a pain because if you could not find one than it was tough because of the sceaming child. Well I had to keep up with at least two because she use to sleep with mulitpe pacies (one in her mouth and as many as she could get in her hands). It was almsot like she wanted a back up incase she lost the one in her mouth.
