School Lunch with My Girl

This morning while in line to drop Payton off she had a melt down.  She did not want to go back to school and it broke my heart! As I watched her sad little face walk away all I could think was that I would not know how her day turned out until 3pm when I picked her up.  It the past I could call her school and ask how she was doing but now that we are in the big leagues it's not that easy.
 I dropped Britton off and then went into Jonathan's office.  After a few hours of thinking about her I was working on my computer frustrated because the rain had caused problems with my Internet.  As I was sitting there looking at my computer I saw a reflection of the kids photos that is in our office and then I remembered that I had read somewhere that parents could come during school lunch time.  So I called and confirmed that this was true and checked her lunch time and I had 10 minutes to make it across town.  It was pouring rain so I just grabbed an umbrella and didn't say bye to anyone and hurried as fast as I could.  When I got to the school I checked in and walked over to Payton's table.  She looked up and was so surprised to see me.  We got to eat at the special round table and she was so excited! She told me that her day was better and that see was so happy to have me with her.  It made the rest of my day so much better knowing that she was ok. 

A Trip Down Memory Lane

We were looking for something fun to do on a Sunday afternoon so we decided to head to Wooten Park to walk on the dock.  Anytime Jonathan and I go there it reminds us both of our first date 14 years ago. It's neat to go back with our two children and still be as crazy about each other as we were on our first date.  I'm so grateful for our relationship and love we have for each other.

Mommy-Son Date

Now that Payton is in school M-F, Britton gets me all to himself on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I think this little goof is enjoying his mommy time. Britton took me on our first date to Hobby Lobby, Old Navy, Target and then to a really good pizza place. The best part was that he was an angel (yes my Britton) the whole time!! I love getting to have each of my kids one on one!

Payton's First Day of Kindergarten

My baby girl is finally kindergartner! This is so very bitter sweet for me.  Part of me is so sad that she is growing up so fast but the other part of me is excited for the new adventure in her life.  Her teacher is Mrs. Bulick and I think she is going to be very good.  The first day was a huge success.  Payton made friends (only girls;), like her teacher and was excited her new school.

She didn't even cry.  She was very nervous but was very brave.  I gave her a hug good bye and I had to turn my head so I didn't show her how unbrave her mommy was. 

Britton's First Day Back at Preschool

Last year Britton was able to start the 3 year old class early with the understanding that he would repeat it again the next year since his Birthday is October 28.  So this year he gets to be in Mrs. Kim's class again on M,W,F and he will be in VPK next year.  This makes me very excited because 1. I think Mrs. Kim is an awesome teacher and 2. he gets to stay at First Presbyterian for 2 more years and I love this school! Britton was very excited about getting to go back to school to see Alex.  We got everyone ready and were about to go take pictures when Britton decided to do his hair with half a bottle of hair wax.  What a nightmare!! We had to fully bathe and scrub his hair which made it very enjoyable dropping him off to school;)

Hello Kitty

I have never owned a cat but I can imagine that it would be somewhat like having Lucy.  She has so many cat like mannerisms.  This one is a first (riding above the kids car seats) but she sure did seem comfortable and stayed up there most of the ride. 

Universal Studios

We went back to Universal for the third week in a row.  Jonathan and I love it... the kids love it... Such great family time!! This time we got to take Natalie.  Jonathan got to have a buddy to ride the big roller coasters with!

Payton's Split

Payton has been working on her split and has it down pretty good! I love watching her passion for gymnastics!

Madison's 8!!

Tonight we went to a hotel my mom was staying at to celebrate Madison's 8th birthday.  We had a little party for her there and had a Mexican fiesta dinner party.  Happy Birthday Madison! We love you!!

Mummy Rider

Payton is now 48" and officially allowed to ride the Mummy Rollercoaster at Universal Studios. This makes both her and her daddy very happy!!
