It's Great to be a Florida Gator!

GO GATORS! 45-12
Today Jonathon and I went to the UF vs FSU game with Rhea and Geoffrey to watch the Gators blow away the Seminoles! Gators won 45 to 12… Go Gators! Payton (my future Gator cheerleader) went to my mom’s house to cheer the Gators on… that’s probably why they won ;)!

So Thankful This Thanksgiving 2007!

Payton enjoying her Thanksgiving feast.

Payton sleeping after a full turkey belly.

Thanksgiving was a blast this year and I have so much to be thankful for. Jonathon, Payton and I started off at Linda and Rick’s house and ate and ate and ate. Linda does such a great job with her dinner. We then played some games and headed off for my mom's house were we ate and ate and ate! My mom makes the best sweet turkey and it is so great to hang out with my brother and his girlfriend Sarah. After we all had full bellies we sat around and watched home videos and laughed all night. Here are a few of the thousands of things I have to be grateful for this year:

*This holiday and the opportunity it gives me to remember what I am thankful for and the time I get to spend with family.

*Motherhood

*Family

*My amazing daughter Payton who has brought so much into my life.

*My husband Jonathon who I am so blessed to be able to spend time and eternity with.

*My mother who has been my bestfriend and such a great role model.

*My mother and father-in-law Linda and Rick who have been such a great example and are always there for me, Jonathon and Payton.

*My sister and brother Christy and Bryant.

*My sisters and brother-in-laws Katelyn, Rhea, Natalie, Geoffrey and Michael (and future in-laws; Sarah and Cameron)

*My nieces and nephew Cameryn, Madison, Jayden and soon to be Macie.

*My mother and father-in-law Konnie and Ricky.

*All of my amazing friends.

*The blessing of being an American.

*The opportunity I have to work with Bling.

*To be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

*The opportunity I have to serve with the Young Women.

*Jesus Christ and the Atonement.

*Happiness.

*Technology and the way it has improved our lives.

*Aimee and Brianna and all of their help with Payton.
I have so much more I am thankful for but I would be here all day!

Cali Emma

This is our crazy dog Cali Emma…she lives a tough life ;). Payton loves to play with her and she loves to avoid Payton. I'd be lying if I said there was not a little jealous between the two of them... but when Payton is eating dinner or a snack Cali is Payton's bestfriend.

Yesterday was the Eustis ward Fall Festival. It was lot of Fall Fun! Rhea is in charge of the activities for the ward and she did a great job with putting everything together and making it a fun event... Thanks Rhea! The event had a hay ride, volleyball, pie eating contest (which the Berge Family dominated), face painting, cupcake walk, delicious food and lots and lots of fun. It was so nice to have a chance to hang out with the entire ward in a casual setting. Jonathon, Payton and I are so blessed to have so many wonderful people to go to church with. After the Festival a bunch of us went back to Rhea and Geoffrey's house to watch the Gators kill the Gamecocks... Go Gators.

Payton, the Park and the Kiss!

Today Payton and I could not resist the beautiful November weather so we decide to go to the park down the street. Payton had a great time running around until a little two year old boy named Jayden decided he wanted to play with Payton as well. Everything was fine until Jayden tried to kiss Payton. That’s when she came running to my leg and holding on for dear life. Jayden continued trying until he got a big kiss on Payton’s forehead. Payton had the most bashful look I have ever seen on her. Thank goodness daddy was not there to witness that first;) . Jayden’s parents said that he had a cousin Payton’s age that he always tries to kiss. It was all too cute!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween was wonderful again this year. Payton was a butterfly and I dressed up like a witch with the hopes of there being other adults dressed up... which there was not! O well it was still a blast being silly and what other day can you be what ever you want with minimal comments?

Early Trick or Treating

Tonight Payton and I went to Downtown Leesburg's trick or treating night. Since Paula was not done with Payton's Halloween costume I had to come up with a costume idea only a few hours before we went. I decided to go to Wal-Mart to see if they had any costumes and it was totally picked over… leaving me only one girl costume in a size that would fit her. The costume was a black and purple little witch outfit. At first I was a little disappointed, but decided to get the costume out of desperation and realized what a perfect costume it was because it matched my witch hat I wore, only cost $10, fit Payton perfect and most important I could blame any of Payton's fussiness on the costume (which I never had to do because she was a perfect angel). We got to see Falon who dressed up as Snow White. It began to rain shortly after we got there, but was still a blast. I love Halloween and having Payton makes it so much more fun.

Today Jonathon, Payton and I went to a pumpkin patch with Geoffrey, Rhea and Jayden and had a great time! Payton was kind of sleepy but enjoyed walking around in the hay and getting into the pumpkins. I just love the fall and spending time with my family!

Our night in the ER

Payton has been sick the last couple of days with a cough and a low grade fever. I have not thought much of it because she has been playing and eating very well (as you can see from my last few posts). This morning at about 1am Payton was sleeping in my arms and woke herself up with a bad cough. When you she woke up she was crying and gasping for air. We thought she might be having an asthma attach since Jonathon had it so bad as a child.

We took her to Waterman’s ER and when we got there she acted fine and even clapped and smiled for the nurses, so it was kind of hard to express my extreme panic and worry. The nurses looked at Payton and found that her temperature was at 101.8 so they gave her some suppositories to reduce her fever. Then we sat in the waiting room for about an hour just waiting until Payton fell back asleep and woke up shortly after with another breathing attack, which made it very easy for the nurses and doctors to see why Jonathon and I were in such a panic. They got us straight to a room and got her on a breathing treatment.

After 5 hours of x-rays, a shot of steroids, more suppositories, waiting and a very sleepy and scared baby the doctor diagnosed her with croup, which is a blockage in the airway to the lungs. The doctor also said there might be a little bronchitis in her lungs. It must be something that is going around because a girl I know said that her sister’s baby boy went to the ER yesterday as well and was diagnosed with croup. Payton seems to be doing fine right now… but she does fool me when she is sick. The ER sure is not a fun place!
